I was fortunate to go cherry picking this weekend at a farm in Columbia County, New York.
4 cups of cherries
1/2 to 1 cup of simple syrup or super fine sugar to taste
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Wash, stem and pit cherries.
Blend cherries, simple syrup and lemon juice in a food processor.
Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
