Today started a little different as we didn’t meet until 10 a.m. at the buses to take us on our first overnight trip. We left around 10:15 and arrived in Jeonju around lunch time. We had a little time before lunch so we all took pictures outside the complex until it was time to eat! We moved into an instructional room where we were taught how to prepare a traditional Korean dish, Bibimbap. This dish consists of a bottom layer of rice, topped with all sorts of vegetables ranging from zuchini and carrots to bracken (roots), and a raw egg on top. After we prepared our individual Bibimbaps, we gathered outside in a dining area to try it.
After lunch, we moved to a seperate venue where we experienced a mock traditional Korean wedding. Before the demonstration of the ceremony, we learned about the traditional values, bows, clothing…
