A day at the sounds


 Anakiwa revisited!

This tranquil, remote settlement in the Marlborough Sounds have nothing much to offer other than beautiful view of the sounds, which is also the starting point/ending point of the very famous Queen Charlotte Track. We were here during our scenic drive along Queen Charlotte Drive from Picton to Havelock sometime ago. But this time, we were back to get a car. Yes, we bought a Nissan Avenir ’94 from a kiwi who lives right here in Anakiwa.

 Say hi to our new babe, which hopefully will accompany us throughout the journey 🙂

 And not far away from Anakiwa, is another small (town) – Havelock, popularly known as the Capital of GreenShell Mussels. This is also where we were during our money-making days. In the weekends, the factory and the wharf seems to be so calm and peaceful, very different from the usual days when tractors…
